Confirmed on KUbuntu 11.10 amd64. The problem goes away with a different color scheme.
As Toni noted, it seems that LibreOffice does not honor the "Tooltips text" setting in the Color section of the KDE System Settings application. In fact, it seems the program always uses black as the text color (I've tried modifying the dark colors to see if LibreOffice used one of them mistakenly, but I didn't succeed). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885081 Title: Tooltips unreadable in LibreOffice on Kubuntu 11.10 Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Tooltips are nice looking in the Kubuntu 11.10 in general. LibreOffice seems to be an exception. GIMP has blue tooltips, readable but different to the new default black tooltip boxes. LibreOffice tooltips are quite unreadable.
