It would be really helpful it was possible to right click on a folder
and rescan just that folder as opposed to clicking the refresh button in
the top right hand corner which refreshes the entire file system.

The use case for this is when trying to free up some space, you use the
tool to identify where the best space savings can be made and then do
some clearing up in the folder, then you want to refresh that part of
the tree to see how it now fits into the overall picture.
