  failed to download repository information

Bug description:
  sir,
  I am using ubuntu11.10[oneiric ocelot]. It was released on october 2011.My 
version of ubuntu software center is 5.0.1.4 My ubuntu software center does not 
shows install button and and when I press 'Use This Source' button It shows 
network connection error and fails to download repository information. While I 
am connected to Internet via mobile broadband. I expected for ubuntu software 
center to show install button. But It does not show install button and fails to 
download repository information and shows network connection error.
