@yohann: I tested your workaround, but failed so far. Does it also work for you with authenticated shares (shares that need username/password to mount)? And what do you mean by "symlink to the network directory"? "ln -s .gvfs/ ~/myshares" or "ln -s .gvfs/shareXY ~/myshareXY"?
