Banshee does not show imported music files.

Bug description:
I imported a music directory to Banshee. Banshee acknowledged in the lower
right the import of 11 files. But I cannot find the imported files. They are
not visible in Banshee.
I 'd appreciate that Banshee pops up a message window messaging the
successful or unsuccessful file import.
~/.xsession-errors showed a lot of these messages:
"** (process:8846): WARNING **: recent-manager-provider.vala:125: Desktop
file for Banshee was not found."
