Marking invalid as it is no longer occurring and I am unable to
duplicate the results after system updates over the past few days. Have
not reviewed update logs to see if this included a gnome-power-
statistics update or not.

Title:
Battery indicator not showing discharge when disconnected from AC or
power statistics
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Description:
When I disconnect the AC power from the laptop the indicator continues to
show "Battery (charged)".
This problem did not seem to occur until I ran updates on the fresh install
of Oneiric.
Additionally when this issue occurs gnome-power-statistics no longer
reports data and doesn't show AC/Battery/Proc on the left side.
Attempts to fix:
1) sudo apt-get install --reinstall gnome-power-manager
2) reboot (no change in issue)
