Hello AndreK, or anyone else affected, Accepted samba into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/2:4.3.9+dfsg- 0ubuntu0.16.04.3 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
