Actually, this is a duplicate of bug #1588197. Please downgrade im-
config from 0.29-1ubuntu12.1 to 0.29-1ubuntu12 and restart your session
and you should be fine.

  evince insentitive to typing in search, page, zoom, ect fields

Bug description:
  Thw way to reproduce:
  Open an attached example_file.pdf file.
  Press CTRL+F
  Try to type something (in my case the field is insensitive, I can only paste 
some string).

  The same problem with page and zoom fields.
