I do have exactly the same problem on 2 different notebooks (32bit and 64bit)! It seems like "Shared to other computers" doesn't work anymore (wifi and lan, so i think its a problem with ip handling and not a driver problem?)... my workaround was reinstalling Ubuntu 11.04, where everything works fine... ;-)
I might add, that the first time, after a reboot, the connection "shared with other computers" works for about 10 seconds, after that it disconnects and every consecutive trial to reconnect will by disconnected imediatly... Also I think this is a huge bug, because it will probably affect many people and affects pretty basic funktions like sharing a mobile internet connection with other computers. Is there any other workaround then mine, yet? Thanks for helping! When I use Ubuntu 11.10 for this it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting frantically and constantly. The wired connection is set to "Shared to other computers".
