Broadwell-U screen stopped working after 14.04 update

Bug description:
I am on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
I recently updated my laptop to vmlinuz-4.4.0-37-generic
After rebooting, I lost my external Monitor (Display application does not
even detect it )
This is my main monitor and is connected via HDMI.
Ive had error messages with Ubuntu an the external screen on Intel
"Broadwell-U" but this is the first time it cut me off totally.
