Well, that lien explains some of these bugs. However, it's old and the
question now if is you are still interested in this.

That said, a missing remote is not a bug but a support request. Please
refer to the upstream mailing list at http://sf.net/p/lirc if you need
assistance with unknown remotes.

  UBUNTU 10.10 MAVERICK
  I haven't found the "Totalmedia" in a list of remotes!!!!  when I go to a 
"Unlisted Remotes" there was a line who said  """If your remote isn't listed in 
the lirc installation, you should file a bug on Launchpad. "" so i'm here!!!!  
Please sorry for my bad english!!!  Can you help me to find the best 
configuration for my remotes?!?!
  The hardware is ANALOGUE PCI "NOT ONLY TV PLATINUM model LV3A; in the box 
there was a remotes!!!
