Public bug reported:

I have the chromium-browser/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra packages
installed on Yakkety. As of the recent upgrade to Chromium version 55
which fixed HTTPS issues, H.264 video is no longer working. Indeed
https://www.youtube.com/html5 reports that it is not supported. I've
tried installing the x264 and ubuntu-restricted-extras packages, but
that did not solve the issue.

** Affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
