Seems related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1133477 Is there any progress on this? The bug seems 3 years old and looks pretty bad. Any way I can help?

This seems to happen deterministically given enough files. I get a crash with 400 files which are together 6gb. As this happens on the same file system, this should be an instantaneous operation: "mkdir X", "mv ... X".
