Public bug reported:
This bug started to appear maybe two weeks ago, probably when Chromium
was upgraded to newer version. As long as there is only one Chromium
window, it behaves fast and proper. When I open a new Chromium window
with one tab and move it to another workspace, this still works.
However, when I switch to another workspace and open a new chromium tab
there (by middle-clicking the Chromium icon in Unity), the Chromium UI
in all windows start to lag horribly. There is usually no response for
2-5 seconds for any mouse+keyboard activity, then things work for ~10
seconds, then the UI again starts to act choppy.
Thanks ;)
