  package tex-common 6.04 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
  installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Status in tex-common package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Im not literate enough to advise further. Basically while installing
  16.04 a message appeared on screen something about Tex-common 6.04
  failed to instal. How this manifests its self i`m not quite sure but
  startup sees a DOS like screen appear with lines of text something
  either didnt load or there is a problem but eventually it starts up as
  normal.
