Status in software-center package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
New installation of 16_04 LTS. Almost nothing extra installed. From memory
just gimp, gdebi and meld.
software-center would start but could not find or install anything because
just got a spinner.
Reinstalled - did not fix it.
Tried changing language as suggested on forum.
Deleted /var/cache and reinstalled - hung the computer, GUI completely
unresponsive.
Power cycled.
software-center now working and I was able to install dropbox successfully.
