Title:
System crashes (freezes) when I try to access the content of the /proc
directory using nautilus
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
On Ubuntu 14.10 (and 15.04) both on the installation on my computer as well
as on the LiveUSB, with the proprietary drivers installed for the wireless
network card, the system crashes (freezes) when I try to access the content of
the /proc directory using Nautilus, and I have to use the REISUB combination to
reboot. The same issue doesn't occur using pcmanfm regardless if the
proprietary drivers for the wireless network card are installed or not.
To reproduce this problem, one has to install the proprietary drivers for the
wireless network card and use nautilus at the same time. If the proprietary
drivers for the wireless network card are uninstalled, the issue doesn't occur
with nautilus.
