Bug description:
I am trying to properly configure & troubleshoot my Artec e+ 48u
scanneron Xubuntu 14.10 (amd64)
There seem to be several erros on the utopic man page at:

The page refers to libsane-common version 1.0.24-1.1ubuntu1_all
Synaptic says my version of libsane-common is 1.0.24-1.1ubuntu1. Note
the missing "_all" at the end.
The man page says that after installing the package, I should find:
/usr/local/etc/sane.d/artec_eplus48u.conf
/usr/local/lib/sane/libsane-artec_eplus48u.a
/usr/local/lib/sane/libsane-artec_eplus48u.so
artec_eplus48u.conf is in the stated location.
I find neither libsane-artec_eplus48u.a nor libsane-artec_eplus48u.so
at their stated location, nor anywhere else on my system.
Running Catfish as root, I find the following similarly, but not
identically, named files in this completely different location:
directory: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane/
files found:
libsane-artec_eplus48u.1a
libsane-artec_eplus48u.so.1
libsane-artec_eplus48u.so.1.0.24
