Oops, forgot to include. Attached is the XML file used to set these gsettings for new users. (install by overwriting "/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/com.canonical.indicator.datetime.gschema.xml", then running "glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib2.0/schemas")
One can also run the following commands on the ubuntu system to set these values for an existing user: gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime time-format 'custom' gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime custom-time-format '%a %d %B %Y %H:%M' ** Attachment added: "gschema file" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-control-center/+bug/1663932/+attachment/4817747/+files/com.canonical.indicator.datetime.gschema.xml -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1663932 Title: unity-control-center crashed when setting custom-date-time Status in unity-control-center package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When one sets a custom date-time string via GLib-2.0 schemas, unity- control-center crashes when one opens the "time"-tab. Setting a custom date-time string is not standard behavior, which may invalidate this bugreport. However, this means setting this custom date-time string (to work around i18n issues with the date being displayed incorrectly btw.) means one cannot change the time anymore via the GUI.
