evolution 2.24.1 Active Task filter doesn't work

Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
On Task display when I select "Show: Active Tasks" from the category
dropdown, nothing shows up. I have tried setting various task flags --
completion, in progress, etc. and setting start dates and due dates
but none of these show up under Active Tasks.
What in heck does Active Tasks filter for? Am I missing something or
is this a bug?
