I'm going to go ahead and close this since it seems this isn't
reproducible on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 with all updates installed. But you
can reopen this or file a new bug if you get this issue again.

Looks like a regression; the gnome-shell session is often crashing and
ask again for login.
