When this happens, the rename actually succeeded, so I usually just relaunch nautilus and open the file. Having logged this, I was doing some more replication checks, straight after the crash, it was not possible to duplicate, but I really get this a lot.
If there are more diagnosis steps I can take to capture more information at the point of crash, let me know (I submitted the data from the Oops window, so any data from there will be 'somewhere') -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1675863 Title: Nautilus crash after renaming an ODS file whilst in Filtered view Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Reproduction steps: Using nautilus, use CTRL-F to filter files viewed (Open Document ods files only) Right click on any file in the filtered view, and rename it and wait (not long).
