Title: 'USB Keyboard+Smartpad' not detected as touchpad in 'Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro 700t' Status in xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: The touchpad on the detachable base for the 'Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro 700t' is not detected as a touchpad. The 'Touchpad' tab in 'Mouse and Touchpad' settings is missing. The keyboard works fine and the touchpad works as a mouse (moving the cursor, clicking the left and right buttons). Tap to click also works, however scrolling does not on either the edge or with two fingers. I am uncertain of the manufacturer of the touchpad as it is not listed clearly anywhere, however I suspect it is "Elan Microelectronics Corp" as this is listed under lsusb, they make touchpads, and the entry disappears when the base is detached. Nothing related appears under lspci or lshw. This is the first time ubuntu has been installed on this machine and the touchpad has never worked correctly.
