Actually, I was using the wrong password for my nextCloud. It works now.

So I'll repeat the response I got from the epiphany developer:

"Do you have HTTP auth that's not working? Or is it the nextCloud
password prompt? Any errors in the web inspector?

I have no problems logging into nextcloud.igalia.com, so I'm going to
need a URL with a test username/password as a reproducer please. Anyway,
I bet you get the same results in MiniBrowser and that this is a WebKit
issue, right?"


You can access the MiniBrowser by running
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/webkit2gtk-4.0/MiniBrowser

Does logging in work in a different web browser?
