This is a problem when a beta version of gnome- shell is packaged. It's a problem when a new gnome-shell version is first released because it takes time for developers to test the extension and mark it as compatible. It's also a problem because gnome-software only checks for extension updates every 7 days. Some extensions still work but haven't been updated in a very long time. More discussion on the attached GNOME bug, particularly comment 7 and at GNOME bug 776460 Original Bug Report ------------------- Update: This behavior was because gnome-shell was a 3.23 development snapshot and no extensions at extensions.gnome.org were marked as being explicitly compatible with that version. GNOME Software 3.22 includes a plugin to show GNOME Shell extensions when GNOME Shell is running. On the home page, click Add-Ons.
