* New upstream release (LP: #1681896) -- Jeremy Bicha <[email protected]> Tue, 11 Apr 2017 13:35:59 -0400 ** Changed in: gnome-user-docs (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-user-docs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1681896 Title: Update gnome-user-docs to 3.24.0 Status in gnome-user-docs package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Impact ------ The GNOME Documentation team released the latest version of the user help today. This is included in both Ubuntu GNOME and Ubuntu Budgie. It's GNOME's policy that there is no docs freeze. Because it is a universe package, translations are only done in GNOME directly. https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-user-docs/tree/NEWS https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-user-docs/log Test Case --------- You can test a specific language by running something like this (for French): LANGUAGE=fr yelp help:gnome-help Regression Potential -------------------- Some languages won't have any of the changed strings translated. One string in particular was changed basically at release time and therefore will not be translated at all. On the other hand, the current version has incomplete translations too. Based on past behavior, the Docs team is unlikely to make another release for about 5 months.
