Title:
microphone does not work with pulseaudio

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

With recent kernel update (2.6.35-22-generic) microphones (internal and
external) stopped working.
When I tried to boot the old kernel (2.6.32-25-generic) it worked fine again.
Unfortunately I am not aware about any action I took, but from today even
with the old kernel the microphone does not work.
However when I boot without pulseaudio demon (only with alsa), then
microphones (both) work fine (they work also in win 7, so this is definitely
not hw problem).
I also noticed, that with pulseaudio, switching between headphones and
speakers does not work:
when headphones are plugged in during boot, they they play sound, but when I
unplug them there is no sound, when plugged back in sound comes from them.
Vice versa, when there are no headphones during boot, speakers work, but they
work even if the headphones are plugged in.
Again, without pulseaudio, with alsa only, this is working correctly.
