Title:
External speakers (logitech V5) always muted after resume from
  suspend.

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

I have a pair of Logitech V5 USB speakers connected (pretty much all
the time) to my laptop. They work well, and are controllable through
  Pulseaudio's Sound Preferences window.

However, whenever I resume from standby, the speakers are always
muted, regardless of the state they had been in beforehand.

*** ALSO *** 'Internal Audio Analog Stereo' [built-in soundcard] is
always selected, even if the USB speakers had been the chosen device
  for sound output before suspend.

This problem also existed on Lucid.

I am standing by to provide further info if required.
