Title:
  pulseaudio removed connectors in oneiric

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  $ lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
  Release: 11.10

  pulseaudio 1:1.0-0ubuntu1

PROBLEM: With oneiric the number of input and output sound connectors
  is reduced.

  So, if you go to
Sound Settings --> Output --> Connector
  Only "Analog speakers" is there.
In natty there was also "Line output" (or something similar)
Currently pulseaudio sends sound to BOTH speakers AND line. It is not
possible to send just to one. This is obviously very inconvenient (if you have
headphones, there is no way to stop the internal speakers).

This seems to be somewhat similar to bug #844936 .

A similar problem seems to happen on input
Sound Settings --> Input --> Connector
There is only "Internal Microphone", no "Line in" any more.
I did not test the Input part, but the pattern seems the same.

I think that this has the potential to be serious as it makes the
sound system useless e,g, in an office where you need to shut down the
speakers and want to have headphones.

  $lspci |grep Audio

Definition Audio (rev 05)
01:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation High Definition Audio Controller
(rev a1)

This is on a HP Pavilion dv8-1080ea (standard config, no add ons)
