Title:
Medion P4010D, Realtek ALC889A, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all
  Ubuntu 13.04

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Same sort of problem I had with 12.10.

However the proposed solution by changing /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-
  mixer/paths/analog-output-speaker.conf as described in
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1094886/comments/18
didn't work this time. It seems the master and speaker control cannot
be uncoupled. Everytime when I mute one or more of the surround
speakers (which I don't have), the master controller is muted. When I
unmute only speakers in hwcard or sysdefault the master stays muted
and I have no sound. When I unmute the master, all of the channels are
unmuted and thus I have no sound again (only a short burst just after
  unmuting the master)
