Title:
[7659Y1W, Analog Devices AD1984, Green Headphone Out, Front] No sound
  at all

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have had this problem multiple times, and this time it simply won't
fix. I've tried "killall pulseaudio" in Terminal and lots of other
things, such as reinstalling Alsa and PulseAudio. I have even updated
  my kernel.

The Audio button at the bar at the top (don't know the name, I think
it's System Bar) has also disappeared. So I use System Settings to
change Sound settings trying to get it to work.

The Ubuntu startup sound (the African drums) work.

  Thanks
