Public bug reported: I send a meeting invitation with Thunderbird/Lightning over a gmail address. The meeting was scheduled 10am and so it appears for me in my calendar. However, all guests see the invitation as 1pm. The time zone on my local machine as well on google calendar is Berlin GMT+2. The time zone off all guests is also GMT+2. This only occurs to send invitations, invitations that I receive are added to my calendar with the correct time and not with an offset of 3 hours.
I noticed that the field Thunderbird as Edit -> Preferences -> Calendar -> Timezone was empty. Once I set it to GMT+2 and restarted Thunderbird ivitations were send with the correct time. Lightning should use the system time zone on default and display the time zone when scheduling the meeting, as well as in invitations to avoid confusion.
