Title:
[LifeBook S Series, Realtek ALC262, Black Headphone Out, Internal]
  Pulseaudio fails to detect card

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Sound was starting and stopping. Ran killall pulseaudio; rm -r ~/.pulse*
Helped for a few weeks then stopped helping.

  did the following:

  Step 1: Open Terminal

Step 2: Run the following command (copy/paste command into the Terminal
  and then hit <enter>)

  gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

In gedit, scroll down and add these 2 lines to the end of the
  /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file:

  alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
  options snd-hda-intel model=fujitsu

Then reboot and retest sound using headphones and speakers.

If those alsa-base.conf options don't work, please try these 2 lines
instead and reboot after making the change:

  alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
  options snd-hda-intel model=auto

still no sound. been searching for fixes online to no avail.
  newb needs help please!
  thank you
