Title:
After suspend/resume, audio does not start playing on main speakers
but on other devices, need to restart pulseaudio
Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have 2 audio systems hooked up via USB: the headphone amplifier with
a DAC and my active speakers. Since 12.10 (didn't happen on 12.04),
when I resume from a suspend and want to play some audio file with the
system that was active before suspend, audio **sometimes** hangs,
meaning the track cursor stays at the start and nothing happens. When
I switch to my other system, e.g. headphones, everything works
alright. When I switch back to the system before that, audio stops
playing again. It's like the sink that was active before suspend never
gets resumed. Killing pulseaudio and opening the sound menu to start
it again solves the problem and everything is back to normal.
