No microphone input on Internet Telephony.

Bug description:
I managed to do a skype call the other day and all was well, I go to do one
today and there's no microphone going out. I tried an Empathy GTalk call to
test that, same problem there.
However, I can open up Mumble, that still works and sound recorder still
works. My mic is being detected in sound settings and I can boost it
accordingly.
