Title:
Disks tool crashes or times out when adding encrypted partition
Status in gnome-disk-utility package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When I try to add an encrypted partition to a 64GB SD or MicroSD card,
the disks tool either times out or crashes. I have tested on both Mate
and Cinnamon.
This works correctly on LinuxMint 17.x, it is only a problem on 18.x.
I have also tested this on both Mate and Cinnamon.
To reproduce:
Launch Disks
Insert new 64GB SD card
Delete exFat partition
Add new encrypted partition:
* Use full SD card (Free Space Following = 0)
* Type = Encrypted, compatible with Linxux systems (LUKS + Ext4)
Disks either times out or crashes. Crash happens every time with Micro
SD.
