Thanks for your report!
It's a post-removal script in the old version which fails to run for
some reason. Might be a hardware issue. I can't reproduce the problem.
Can you please try to remove the old version manually before installing,
i.e.:
sudo apt purge mythes-en-us
sudo apt install mythes-en-us
Does that solve the problem for you?
