The right people already adjusted the bug and linked it to the corresponding Debian Bug. Following the very long thread from Debian this seems to be a non-issue because they have already revised the next version of the libreoffice package. This one time problem occurred during the upgrade from the prior version. The quick way to determine if it was upgrade related or not was to define a new user and try calc from there. Since it worked there, I went to investigate and found the Debian bug report. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878334 Title: soffice.bin crashed with SIGSEGV Libreoffice Calc immediately closes (/crashes) upon starting Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “libreoffice” package in Debian: Unknown Bug description: Upon starting libreoffice Calc via the dash or terminal (libreoffce --calc) it immediately closes it (/crashes). Also when I try to open a "calc"-file via Nautilus it crashes. If I try to start calc via the "overview" thingy of Openoffice it does exactly the same. I am able to start writer, impress, draw, base and formula without any problems via the dash, terminal and nautilus.
