There were some wayland related changes in snapd master recently, can
you try switching your core snap to the edge channel to see if that
fixes the issue for you?
To switch to edge:
sudo snap refresh core --edge
and to switch back to stable after testing
sudo snap refresh core --stable

[snap] Ubuntu 17.10 Artful Ardvark shows Black Window, requires "Force
Quit"

Bug description:
Installed it fine, but Artful Aardvark Ubuntu 17.10 show just a black
window. Freezes there, and eventually I am prompted to "Wait" or
"Force Quit". If I don't force quit it stays black all day.
