Another behaviour I tested: (see related bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm/+bug/1346984 )

* The freeze only occurs when I drag across the 'Places' side pane (the
one toggled by pressing F9). If I instead drag into the main area then
no freeze occurs.

Title:
X locks after dragging file out of file-roller to pcmanfm

Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in pcmanfm package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Looks to be a recurrence of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
  /file-roller/+bug/878993

Dragging a file out of file-roller to pcmanfm sometimes results in the
desktop locking up. Applications keep running but will not accept
mouse input. Keyboard input mostly accepted, but not the space bar.

Seen on Lubuntu 14.04 64 bit.
