There seem to be quite a few people experiencing this bug. I am getting it myself, on 32-bit Natty (11.04).
I haven't yet determined any specific action that causes it to start, but once it starts, it continues until the machine is rebooted http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1276115 shows a few people having the same issue. Can this bug be re-opened? I'll link to it on the Ubuntu Forums, so hopefully others will come and provide more information -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515435 Title: File-operations window is emtpy Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Today when I inserted my 4GB USB stick, and began to transfer some files to it, the File Operations window was complete empty.
