I can't tell, but I just added a comment to that bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/877629/comments/5 about a proposed change that might be related - or not... ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to language-selector in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879069 Title: language-selector doesn't automatically link fontconfig files for CJK users Status in “language-selector” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: There are several fontconfig files for CJK users in /etc/fonts/conf.avil/ started with "69-language-selector-". But in Oneiric, language-selector doesn't make symbolic links to /etc/fonts/conf.d/ automatically. This bug is happening at installing Ubuntu with CJK language choosed, and also installing new CJK language packages using language-selector. I tested with Ubuntu 11.10 at Korean, Japanese, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional) environment. Also tested with Ubuntu 11.10 English, and install Korean, Japanese, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional) language packages. But, I'm native Korean speaker, so please test for CJ more.
