Title:
  Unintuitive dialogue when setting resolution

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Usability bug in Settings -> Devices -> Display

Only way to close the dropdown-list is by click the (X) close icon.
When you are changing the resolution, this feels like clicking the
CANCEL button. You can see the APPLY button becomes active, but you
  can't click it.

Seems like a task for the UX-team. I'm only running Ubuntu, so I don't
know if this also applies to GNOME upstream.
