Curious you describe a setting that doesn't seem to exist:
"Confidentiality, Deactivating lock screen"

Do you mean this? Privacy > Screen lock = OFF

Regardless, please upload your system information using this command:

Confidentiality : Deactivating lock screen doesn't work

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
In System Settings, Confidentiality, Deactivating lock screen : does
not work after opening laptop lid.

Still presented by the GDM users/password lock screen.

Worst case : sometimes, presented by the screen saver window, hitting
space bar to reveal desktop cause a shell freeze.

Been like this also on Ubuntu Gnome 17.04

  Dell XPS 13 (9360)
