workspace to dock disabled after suspend

Bug description:
affects gnome shell ubuntu 17.10 Beta
until now after suspend Workspace to dock is missing but restarting X brought
it back
last time restarting X in all these ways DID NOT WORK: Method 1-4
Method 1
‣ Ctl+Alt+F1 to exit, and Ctl+Alt+F3 to bring one back
• Method 2
• sudo /etc/init.d/gdm3 restart, or
• Method 3
• systemctl restart gdm.service, or
• Method 4
• sudo service gdm3 restart
Method 5
• dbus-send --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=org.gnome.Shell
/org/gnome/Shell org.gnome.Shell.Eval string:'global.reexec_self()'
or a restart Does Work
