I don't know whether to classify this as a gksu or a gnome shell bug. The
steps necessary to reproduce this are:
1) Login to gnome shell on Ubuntu 17.10.
2) Open a gnome terminal.
3) $ gksu ls
4) Try to type your password (or anything else) in the dialog box that comes
up. What you type shows up in the gnome terminal.
** Affects: gksu (Ubuntu)
