Title:
Ubuntu 17.10: clipboard contents lost if app is closed (Wayland)

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Ubuntu 17.10 has no functioning clipboard manager. This means that if
you copy something from an application, and then close that
application before pasting it elsewhere, it's lost.

For now I was able to fix this issue by installing parcellite.

Also, there should be a better way to add a bug report to launchpad
than fudging it like i had to, but I brought this up as a bug before,
  to no joy.
