[K8M800] Console screens unusable on Averatec 3280 laptop

Bug description:
Binary package hint: xorg
Switching to a console screen with control-alt-Fn results in a screen
filled with random colors, so text is not visible. However it is
possible to login blindly and also to switch back to X with alt-F7.
The rest is the same as with bug #448911 on another computer.
