Public bug reported: I have no idea why, but after half a day or so of usage, gnome-shell uses 1.4 GB of memory. I have never seen an OS where the shell is so "hungry", there seem to be lots of memory leaks. Good the system has 12 GB of RAM, otherwise I would have lots of swap. Unity never did not do things like this, I really hope there will be a fix soon.
