It happens to me too.

I noticed that it happens when I maximize the gnome-terminal window, but
not always: right now, I have another gnome-terminal, maximized, with 3
tabs, and the right-click (contextual) menu works well.

I also noticed that, when maximized and "demaximized" again, the right-
click menu shows with more space than needed (as shown in the
attachment).
